Flowmaster Delta - Quieter then 40's deeper performance sound. Do you have a sound clip of what it sounds like? Just dont get a big pipe. I have a V6 and just put a 40 on it and I think it sounds really good but … I got my custom and a shop, much cheeper and got to pick everything.

like the other dudes sayd just stay around 2'' to 2.25'' and you'll have a nicer agressive sounding pony !

Takeoffs are the way to go. And they ARE all stainless.

my friend's POS saturn sounded more aggresive than my stang today at the stop light at WOT. I've got dual exhaust on my 2000 from flowmaster and someone told me it almost sounded just like their '96 GT.

If so how do they sound. Almost anyone you talk to will say something different about them thought.

You are using an out of date browser. a friend of mine has an after market exhaust and it is not a flowmaster and it just does not have the same sound as mine . A custom fabbed H pipe was included in that 100$. Anyways im just wondering where is the best place to pick it up online? confidantly, purchased the gallon.

I don't htink there's much if any HP to be gained by swapping them out, and I like the tone. its not a horrid sound, its an ok sound until 3k rpms then it gets ricy sounding but not horrid.... just about any aftermarket mufflers will sound the same on the v6.... at least all the ones i have heard and spintech seem to sound worse than flowmasters also. Last time I paid $45-48 shipped for a 40 original for my brothers truck, damn i just bought mine from www.sdpc2000.com only 60 bucks a piece. Better sound would be nice though. from what i understand they are quieter on the inside of the car, deeper sound on the outside, more power than the original 40 mufflers. They're quiet at idle, but they sound really aggressive at WOT, and not ricey like some of the aftermarket stuff does. I'm still thinking of going dual (catback), but want to make sure I don't lose any power. Hope to see you on the forums soon!

and if you look around enough you can find that Exhaust system cheaper then 300 , midas did mine for 276 and it sounds real good... 2004 4.6 mustang GT - completely stock ATM. the two mufflers shipped were about 200. thanks so I guess the number im looking for is FLO-952548 ? And it really isn't loud...just sounds good when I get on it, esp around 2500-3000. perhaps i will just get a take-off and have the shop weld it on up and fab some hangars. JavaScript is disabled.

I heard a clip of them and the regular 40 series on flowmaster's website and i was undecided on which type to buy. PSALM 7:8, my flowmasters dont drone you *****'s dont know drone till you ride in a hoged out 5.0 with no cats and flowmasters with dumps.... lol.

same i have it on mine and i am very happy with it !! I just bought a 2000 V6 and I was wondering if the flowmaster dual exhaust 40 series would make a difference as far as a deeper sound...i really don't want to buy it, install it and then have my mustang sound like a honda.

I dont wanna burst your bubble, but thats just my opinion. oh i put some cutouts on too sounds good till 3500 then i feel like im in my mgb with a glass packlol.... take offs or if your going just muffler borla is expensive but i think there the best... everyone has there preference though.

Super Flowmaster 40's - They are the same internal 3 fin design as the Deltas but have a bigger more original flow to them. does not quite soung like a v8 but it sounds very nice. It may not display this or other websites correctly. But i went with Jegs.

i would go with an oem gt take off exhaust and then you can change the mufflers out if you choose later on, this way you can give it a shot first and see if you like it. flowmaster 40 series mustang v6

They sound ricey IMO..it's hard to get a real good sounding muffler on a V6. I feel the only sound you get out of the V6 is from the engine when you slam the gas down. K&N FIPK II, Flowmaster 2.25 in. So are these work the extra money and do they sound good, or just stick with the original 40 series?
